It’s not a bad thing, best to remember that early on so you don’t think you are failing when your tulpa starts to have similar traits to you down the road. Usually when the tulpa starts talking to people outside your system, possessing or switching very often.
Lucilyn: simplest switching symbolism is visualizing yourself (the host) leaving the body, and then your tulpa entering the body(edited)
3:09 AM
also switching was special for us the first time, personally
3:09 AM
we were like, noticing all the details about the senses that Lumi normally tuned out
3:09 AM
the textures of stuff and all that
3:10 AM
but eventually tulpas will get used to being switched regardless, yeah
3:11 AM
also @ being autopilot while doing daily tasks,
after 8+ years of switching, yes we're just on autopilot and thoughtless a lot of the time, but literally whenever I think for example it's in my voice and, well, me
3:11 AM
if it's ever not and just back to the host then you've lost the switch
3:12 AM
good to remember who's switched occasionally if you struggle with that/blending
3:12 AM
we've been doing it for forever now though so we don't need to put any thought into it, even to wake up still switched
Possessing shouldn't be vague. If you feel that your body belongs to your tulpa and they control it atm while it's still you who is thinking, it's possession.
yeah i see it more as commanding the "autopilot" to do something

Hi, one of my tulpas/headmates is in the middle of forming and I think is sending me telepathic messages, like making me think certain things that I don't feel much control over. For instance, I've been calling them Treasure for a while, since I thought it'd be a name that would fit for a multitude of personal reasons, but every time I referred to them the name "Tristan" kept appearing. So, now we're calling them Tristan.
I just wanted to know, would they be able to send messages like that, even when they're basically silent for the rest of the time? Ig I'm asking because my other tulpa formed really fast and this one is taking their sweet time and I haven't gone through all the steps like this.(edited)
Lucilyn: early tulpa vocality/tulpish(the term for communication with thoughts/feelings instead of words) is often referred to as the "googoo gaga"s of tulpa development(edited)
12:45 AM
there's not always much if any real thought or intent behind early thoughts you associate with your tulpa
12:45 AM
since they're still developing a coordinated sense of self in the first place and all
12:45 AM
it's best to not take early tulpish too seriously
12:46 AM
if they really want any changes (like to their form, name etc.) they'll be able to tell you later on once they're fully vocal
12:46 AM
so yeah, think of it like the tulpa equivalent of being a baby
Hi, l'm new to tulpamancy. I've been working on my tulpa for more than 3 months. I've heard about thinking from the perspective of your tulpa. Should I do that? I mean won't that be like parroting??
